Mr. Chesley is a member of Ohio, Kentucky, and Federal Court Bars. He practices before numerous Federal District Courts and Courts of Appeal, as well as the United States Supreme Court. He is a Past Chairman of the Supreme Court of Ohio Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, and Cincinnati Bar Association
